In Between Our PADI Open Water and Advanced Open Water in Utila

Today was our rest day. We were out late last night partying with our Instructor, Divemasters and friends we have met on the Island and slept in today. Spending the entire morning doing nothing and most of the afternoon, we did go catch a great sunset with our friends George and Christina while waiting for the sunset cruise though another dive company. We saw the sunset waiting on the boat captain and when it started getting dark, we realized we were not going to have a sunset cruise around the bay, but a dark one... so we left.

Our New Friends

Christina leaves tomorrow for Guatemala, and George has some of his Divemaster training left.  They are a great couple who met while traveling around Central America.  George is from England and Christina from the US and they fight constantly, however you can tell they really like each other.  It's weird how some couples are.  They argue and get along just fine.  Shelly and I don't hardly argue about anything and we get along.  I guess when love is involved it really doesn't matter.

Gearing Up for Tomorrow

Shelly and I ate at the only place with bad food that he have found on the island. Most of all the food we have eaten here in Utila has been great!  Needless to say we wont go back. I also got a haircut today which cost me around $4.50.  So cheap! We had a good time today relaxing. Tomorrow we start our PADI Advanced Open Water classes and will be doing a 100 foot deep dive and navigation dive along with another dive for buoyancy in the morning. Tuesday we are doing a shipwreck dive (the Haliburton) and a Night dive in the evening. We cannot wait. Both the deep and night dives sound incredible.

We also bought an cheap disposable underwater camera and mask and snorkel sets today. Great day, but tomorrow will be epic!
